In THE MIDNIGHT SUPPER two women sit together beneath a crescent moon, sharing an intimate meal in a world suspended between wakefulness and a dream. The scene appears quiet and almost domestic, yet small shifts in scale, colour and symbolism suggest that something more elusive is taking place.
 
The fish on the plate becomes more than a meal. The moon and the stars seem to observe rather than simply illuminate. The woman appear caught in a private moment, unaware of whether they are dreaming, remembering or waiting.
